Who decides whether I shall be able to carry on working at my desk or whether I must leave it and never be able to work there again?

Will I walk out of the factory gate never again to return?

Who decides?

Is it only destiny who decides, or someone else?

Where does design come into this story?

Perhaps it would be better to get accustomed to designing for the freedom of rights rather than the freedom of business.
